Frequently Asked Questions

Hopefully you will find all the answers to any questions you may have here. But if not, please pop me an email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I come and visit your studio?

Of course, though you'll need to make an appointment as I'm not generally open to the public.

Can you repair my hat?

Sometimes, no matter how careful you are, a hat needs a little tlc - or sometimes a big repair job.

Over the years I've tackled all manner of issues including wires that were escaping and poking through, squashed brims, tired and damaged trims, and fedoras needing a freshen up.

First of all, I'll need to see what the problem is, so if you can make an appointment to bring your hat in, or pop me an email with the details, and hopefully I can help you out.

Can you customise a hat or fascinator?

Yes, I can!

If you've an eye on my one my pieces, but would like a detail changed, it's something I can happily accommodate as all my pieces are sewn together. That also applies to any of my pieces you may already own, as something a change can make it perfect for another outfit or event.

If you have a piece that I've not made I'd recommend an appointment to bring it into my studio if you can so I can see how its constructed and I can then advise you properly on what can be done and provide an accurate quote. If you can't come in person we can also have a video or email chat.

Do you offer lessons?

At the moment I've no group lessons scheduled, but I am considering the possibility of offering in-person group lessons locally. If you are interested in finding out more if they do happen I'd suggest either subscribing to my 'Studio News' email or dropping me an email mentioning that you are interested and I'll keep you posted if / when I am able to offer classes.

If you are interested in a one-to-one lesson, drop me an email and let's have a chat about what you'd like to learn and what I can offer you.

What is your returns policy?

Ready-to-wear items can be returned for a refund or exchange if you contact me within 14 days. Full details are available on the Delivery & Returns page.

Bespoke or customised items are unable to be refunded or exchanges, so I'll work with you to ensure you're happy with it before it leaves my studio.
